1 .Open and read the “How to write a critique” document in the resources menu.
Describe what is a critique.
A critique is basically a description rather than an analysis of an article on what i are the critical things to say about it. Description of the article is easier than an analysis of it and the writer basically discuses about the different critical points in the article making opinions about why is it a good/bad place to place it in.
2. Outline the FOUR stages in a critique.
The four stages of a normal Critique:
- Introduction
- Summary
- Analysis
- Evaluation
3. Can a critique be positive? Discuss.
A critique can be positive. For example the writer of the critique can acknowledge and complement good critical points of an article as well as how the article has been set up. Positive critiques are usually written if the article has been done excellently and was written on a very interesting topic. For example the Beijing Olympics facilities are done to the most interesting way that critiques are saying that their structures are the best display of engineering excellence to date.
4. Critique the accuracy of the following articles:
