1. How do you feel the media portrays social justice issues?
I feel that the media portray social justice issues fairly unjust and the information given is a bit off. They portray it as bad things such as poverty or war. A example of social justice issue is poverty in the world. The media has portrayed poverty as it only happens in Africa through advertisements as well as the internet. IN the advertisements of poverty in the world they would only show videos and images of African children and families in poverty, leaving other countries for example India unknown to have critical amounts of poverty.
2. Has it been difficult to find articles on social justice/Moral issues why/why not?
Through my research it has been difficult to find moral issues as you will have to infer to determine whether the issue is moral or a social justice issue. My issue, the American election was quite difficult to find immoral articles as most of the articles that I would find were just about how the American election is going and who will most likely win the elections.
3. Do you think that the media operates from a moral framework? Give evidence by using your research.
I do think that the media does work within a moral framework but do sometimes go over the boundaries of the framework. An example of the media going outside of their boundaries is that Fox news networks attacked Obama for being a terrorist and how he was a smoker. The Fox networks did not have direct and correct information to back their allegations up so they basically displayed unmoral and unethical journalism. In conclusion I emphasize that the media do stay within their boundaries but do sometimes go outside their boundaries to just sell a good story.
